  • Another error in my website after 5.0.9 Update. Currently I’ve returned to 5.0.8, but 5.0.9 deleted the footer and excerpts 2 and 3 from my homepage (https://www.xaviergimeno.net)

    Hi dileepp89.

Thanks for letting us know about your issue. I can’t reproduce this, though, and I’m having trouble imaging the circumstances under which that line would throw an error.

Do you mind sharing what version of WordPress and PHP you’re using? If you prefer to share this privately, you can reach out to us at [email protected]

Also, if you have any speed or optimization plugins, this would be the time to clear their caches.

Same error Julka, as it is described in the error_log file:

“[14-Jul-2015 17:59:10 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getConfigs() on a non-object in /home2/xaviergi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/addthis/addthis_social_widget.php on line 1086”

We got the error as well.

    Hi everyone,

If you could please let us know the version of WordPress and PHP you’re using when you post the error it will help us identify a pattern and get this fixed more quickly.

    WordPress 4.2.2

    PHP version 5.3.24

Same error as the others. Started after 5.0.9 update

What is happening to AddThis plugin? After updating to ver 5.0.9 our website is completely a mess. We’ve had to deactivate ver 5.0.9 and we’re for a way to rollback to ver 5.0.8.

Can someone from AddThis explain what is happening? Thanks.

    WordPress 4.2.2, PHP 5.4.40
    Thanks.

    Hi eveyone,

There have been many reports of issues with version 5.0.9 of our plugin. We’re still unable to replicate them locally, but we have a potential fix based on the error message users are seeing. If you’d like to try out this version let me know your email address and I can attach it to a reply.

    Hi nceebob,

I’ve sent the plugin to your email address [Email redacted]. Will you please try out this new plugin .zip and see if it fixes the issue? I’d love to hear your results so I can follow up with our dev team.

    Thanks,
    Elsa.

Please don’t ask for people’s email addresses here, they will get spammed if they post that.

    Hi AddThis_Elsa,

We have just tested what you sent but it unfortunately failed. Our WP theme fails to function as it does with AddThis release 5.0.8.

What we can do for you guys is to send you a list of our active plugins so that you can test your changes/updates against them. (Pls. check your email for our plugin list and the name of our active theme.)

[N.B. for your information, we’re using AddThis plugin in a production environment and currently micro-blogging to well over 30K Twitter followers.]

    Hi Andrew,
