Fatal Error Activating Theme

    Could you please direct me to someone that could help me out in regards to an issue I am having with the server and WordPress? I downloaded the Innovative theme to the cPanel WordPress folder in my FTP and once I activated the theme in WordPress I got this message whenever I clicked on another link in WordPress (pages, header image and color, etc etc) :

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_list_pluck() in /home/balemoun/public_html/wp-content/themes/innoVative/innovative/admin/metabox/meta-box.php on line 90

    What does this mean?? Please help!

  • Try switching to the default theme by renaming:

    wp-content/themes/innoVative

    to:

    wp-content/themes/innoVative-old

    using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. And do please upgrade WordPress asap.

    Thanks, I was able to switch back to the old theme. But I am trying to activate the new theme without this whole “Fatal error” problem. Should I be re-naming the default theme instead of the new theme?

    No. Where did you download the innoVative theme from?

    Themeforest. I’ve contacted the administrator of the theme and he hasn’t gotten back to me.

    I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not support commercial themes here.

    Now, last question while I have you here.

    I am currently developing three separate WordPress sites, all on different hosting services and accounts. If I update one WordPress, will it effect the other WordPress accounts?

    Hello,

    i have the same problem and when i rename the uploaded theme, it works. i have transfered via FTP my theme from my local machine to the web hosting. How to activate the theme without error?
