was on 4.X (can’t remember) and updated Time.ly and the word press site didn’t respond. Went into my control panel and turned off Time.ly and the website came back. Decided to try and upgrade to 5.0.2 to see if that would help and now I get the following message below when I try to activate time.ly

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting ‘)’ in /home1/chaplaxc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/lib/iCal/iCalcreator-2.24.2/autoload.php on line 47

  • Hi @jonmckdenver,

Do you still have this issue? If so, do you know which PHP version your host is running?

    Thanks,
    Ben

I get the same error, but slightly different trigger.
I’m new to All-in-one event calendar. I’ve seen it in action and decided to add it to my WP site (self-hosted). I downloaded it, and installed it. Apparently OK.

However, when I tried to activate it, I got the same error as jonmckdenver reported above.

I don’t know which PHP version my host is running. How do I find that out?

    My host is HostGator.

    Jim

    Problem solved:

I discovered that my server was using PHP 5.2.17
I asked them to install 5.6. They did, and activation of the plugin was successful.
