    What could be causing this, could you help, me please? I am just trying to activate it

    Really sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Could you let us know which version of Email Subscribers is currently installed on your WordPress?
    Also, can you temporarily disable other plugins and then try to activate Email Subscribers and see if there is any conflict with any of the plugins or not?
