    G’day,

I’ve just updated to the new Woocommerce(2.3.1) from the plugin menu and I received a Fatal Error

Absolutely nothing works now. Every time I click something it reverts to a blank page that says:

Fatal error: Access level to WC_Social_Login_Provider::$enabled must be public (as in class WC_Settings_API) in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas05_data03/29/2408929/html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-social-login/woocommerce-social-login.php on line 201

None of the menu’s works at all.

    Any help will be appreciated!
    Cheers

Mine did too once I re-installed wordpress – had to go to the email to access my new dashboard then activated all plugins and extensions.

    Thanks for the reply Brian

My problem is I have no idea where to start. Im using a managed wordpress account and a temp domain. does this affect anything?

Should i start by uninstalling and then reinstalling wordpress?

Would I lose all the custom css?

    Cheers

    Hi,
The fatal error is pointing to the plugin “woocommerce social login”. Try deactivating that plugin and retesting…

@skulldepot update social login, and any other outdated extensions.

Had the datacenter reload a backup from the 6th/ If this was a live website this would have been a major problem.

There was no way to update social login as the site was unreachable.

The site is upgraded 100% without the plugin installed.

Going to load the plugin now fresh.

Hope in the future when another update is needed, this does not cause a site meltdown.

You can always rename a plugin via ftp and resolve any site access issues immediately… So in the instance you had, where the Social Login and Woo conflicted, you could just go into the plugins folder via ftp and rename the social login’s folder to regain access in wp-admin. Then you’d be free to install an updated version.
