I’ve used wordpress.com for some years now but am relatively new to www.remarpro.com. Tried for a couple of days now to find a fix on my own but have been unsuccessful. The error I’m getting is this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 393216 bytes) in D:\Hosting\5138262\html\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\admin\manage-images.php on line 474

Everything was fine until I installed the lite version of PageLines; that’s when the error occurred. It continues to pop up every time I attempt to access the admin control or do anything at all. I’ve tried manually increasing the memory as per similar topic threads in this forum (tried coding with Dreamweaver and as plain text in Word — no luck either way). I did see a thread that suggested forcing a revert to twenty-eleven theme via filezilla but am not sure if that will work since I am not able to access my admin panel. Several of the threads suggested contacting wp to ask for a memory upgrade. Is this possible? I am not tied to the pagelines theme and would gladly trade it if I could only figure out how. There’s nothing on the website so I really don’t have anything to lose at this point — except time. ;o)

Any suggestions would be most welcome!

  • You can use FTP or cPanel/ File manager at your hosting company and deactivate all plugins and revert to Twenty Eleven theme and see if it solves the problem. To deactivate, you can rename plugins, theme, etc. by adding -old or something you like.
