since this morning updraft PLUS (yes I paid!) has crashed:

    Howdy!

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, UpdraftPlus - Backup/Restore.

First, visit your website (https://forum.himalayan-tools.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://forum.himalayan-tools.com/wp-admin/plugins.php) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can't access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special "recovery mode". This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

    https://forum.himalayan-tools.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=QCzIW7sUC5lmnnMxzoPvTk&rm_key=26LTHCtalykmEh5UGeU7i0

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don't worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.9
    Current theme: Sydney (version 2.0)
    Current plugin: UpdraftPlus - Backup/Restore (version 2.22.3.25)
    PHP version 7.4.3

    Hi,

If you are using a paid version of the plugin, then please go here – https://updraftplus.com/paid-support-requests/ – www.remarpro.com don’t allow us to use their forums to support purchases.

N.B. The “plus” in UpdraftPlus is not referring to payment. There is a free edition of UpdraftPlus (here), and a paid one with more features at updraftplus.com. If you are a paying customer, then there is no further procedure to sign-up for support, you already have a login from when you made a purchase.

    David

I also get {{#if first_instance}} and have the premium and yes submitted a support request on the site but always takes long for a response so hoping someone here found a solution.

I’m sorry, but we don’t set the rules that www.remarpro.com have for their forums. We are simply obliged to obey them.

From the replies we’ve had from existing customers, there are some plugins that cause a conflict. By selectively de-activating, you can find out which, and report back (in the appropriate channel) with that info.

I hate it especially when a pluginyou paid for just gives you a lot of verbiage that is meaningsless except saying: its not our fault – find the flaw yourself and then, after you worked for us for free, let us know.
I am changing to xenforo with my forum from wordpress. this is rampant in this environment. one plugin can take down everything – and its kinda comical if its a backup plugin.

@himalayande they cannot cater for ALL instances with theme/plugin combinations so it is helpful to test and find a potential conflict faster so you need to relate to why he asked you to test.

The new update that was just released fixes the issues so just update and say thank you.
