Updated pdf invoices and packing slips today, got the usual cannot update probably file permissions error. Updated manually by ftp and replacing whole directory. Replaced my template and when creating packing slip or invoice, the page attached throws up the error. This occurs using my template or supplied template. Help please.

    Many thanks

    Hi @supajiggi,

Do your invoices work if you switch your template to Simple, under WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > General > Choose a template?

@supajiggi what’s the exact error you’re seeing and which version of the plugin do currently have installed on your site?

Hi Yordan and thank you for coming back to me. As per message above, I tested both templates to make sure before I posted. Have taken a screen shot in case the temporary page is lost. https://www.ijconline.co.uk/downloads/Woocommerce_invoice_packig_slip.pdf
    Hopefully this might help.

Hi Eout, updated today to what I believe is your latest Version 2.10.6

@pomegranate link above gives you a screen shot of error messages. Sorry missed it in your reply.

Thanks that definitely helps! This error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function Symfony\Polyfill\Mbstring\iconv_strpos()

indicates that your site runs a custom build of PHP without iconv (which is always included in the compilation unless it’s explicitly excluded).

Contact your host and ask them if they can set you up with a PHP version that does include iconv. We’re working on a fallback (here), but I can’t say when this will be released. Alternatively you could downgrade to version 2.10.3 temporarily, although I wouldn’t recommend doing that because the last update included some security fixes.

    I’m sorry for the inconvience!

@supajiggi I’ve created a ZIP for you of the current version of the plugin (2.10.6) with that fallback I was referring to added to it: https://we.tl/t-H7g0iBDozU

Could you test if this indeed resolves the error?

    @pomegranate

Brilliant, have uploaded and tested invoice and packing slip on “My” template and all appears to be fine. I will check as I go along for the next few days but all seems to be working fine.

Thank you for your quick response and hard work. I will look into inconv over the weekend.

    Many thanks

Very glad to hear that Ian! We have included this in todays update (v2.11.0), so you should be able to update safely.

    Will go and update now.

Thank you again for all your help. 5* service and the only plugin I have found where I can adapt the file to print on my particular intergated labels.

    Great stuff
