Fatal Error

  • I keep getting a fatal error when I login into wp-admin. Ever since I tried installing the YoastSEO plugin.

    I can’t even go into the plugins to delete it, I just get this error.

    It says:

    You can manually reset your plugin (no Dashboard access required). You can also just rename wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/ into something else via FTP – no need to deactivate all plugins, since you know where the problem is.

    I feel incredibly ignorant saying this, but I don’t know how to do either of those things, and the attached directions make it more confusing. Is there a support phone number or some sort of email I can use to get step by step help on this versus just a forum?

    If you are not familiar using a FTP client or accessing your database, you might want to ask for a developer’s help. We don’t offer any kind of support via phone nor mail, here on these forums. You can try https://jobs.wordpress.net/ or https://jetpack.pro/ and do not accept nor post any hire offers on these forums.

    You can also contact your host provider and ask them to restore a previous backup if they have one.
