    Hi,

We understand that you encountered a fatal error when updating to v14.8 of Yoast SEO for WordPress. We apologize for any issues. If you don’t have access to your site, you can refer to this article for more information on how to deactivate the plugin — https://yoast.com/help/white-screen-when-activating-or-updating-plugin/

Could you also please check if your site meets the necessary plugin requirements here — https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/

We would also recommend that you perform a conflict check, as there could be a conflicting plugin or theme — https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

If you have a screenshot of the fatal error message, perhaps that could be helpful as well.

I will try to explain better. After i update wordpress version i also update yoast. Then the site won′t load. it just keeping processing and does not show anything but a orange layer that is the main color of the website. Now the same thing is happening when i try to update different plugins but not all of them. I don′t receive any error msg from wordpress or the site.

    Hi @bernardino24 ,

Sorry to hear about the issues you’re having with your site. It seems that the problem you are having is caused by a conflict or maybe more than that. Can you please confirm if your server meets the plugin requirements listed here? Have you also tried performing a conflict check?

You mentioned that the same thing is happening when you update other plugins so the issue could not be specific to Yoast SEO. Have you tried clearing your cache (browser, site, server) and see if that resolves the issue? We also suggest confirming with your web host if your server meets the requirements for running WordPress 5.5.

Hi. My server meets the requirements for running wordpress 5.5. unless they page would not open. The page does not open when i update plugins namely yoast.
How can be a conflict check with the plugin? It always ran smoothly util the day i updated him?

    Hello @bernardino24!

Sorry for the trouble. The latest version of WordPress triggered some conflicts between Yoast SEO and a few other plugins (and themes), especially the ones that are running older codes. So we can pinpoint where the conflict lies, we need you to perform a conflict check. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine, you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts. So we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

Please let us know the result.

    Hello,

I manage to find what was the problem. It was the update 5.5 wordpress that ruin my site. I had to install this plugin: jQuery Migrate Helper
