I’ve just installed the current version of square to our wordpress woocommerce site, direct from the plugin page, so we can use with a pos system but it’s caused issues and unable to edit the products etc with this warning.

Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to WooCommerce\Square\Handlers\Products::format_product_error() must be an instance of WooCommerce\Square\Handlers\string, string given, called in /homepages/10/d125692768/htdocs/fabrication/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-square/includes/Handlers/Products.php on line 686 and defined in /homepages/10/d125692768/htdocs/fabrication/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-square/includes/Handlers/Products.php on line 700

The page looks fine front end and I can add to basket etc, with it looking as if it is possible to pay via square. It’s also allowing me to sync to square but just hanging, any clues.
I’ve included the page we’re currently trying to sync, only trying the one for now

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi any thoughts on this, we do want to use it, but can’t atm

I have the same issue. Format_product_error. When I disable the Square plugin I can edit products. I get a critical error otherwise and not able to edit products.

    Hi there @fabricationcrafts and @racingwinners ,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with Square sync!

    – First of all, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response in coding brackets.

    – I see that the log points to the possible product errors such as:

    – a product has multiple attributes (only one attribute is supported by Square)
    – a product doesn’t have an SKU
    – a variable product doesn’t have SKUs for each variation.

Could you please check if all of that is not true for your products?

    – What is your System of Record in Square settings? Are syncing product data from Square to WooCommerce?

Looking forward to getting additional details from you!

    Hi there @fabricationcrafts,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
