    Hi all,

When going to the site, you’re met with a white blank page, nothing shows up. Went into recovery mode and saw TablePress had a bunch of errors next to the plugin. When I deactivated Tablepress, the site is back up and running, obviously no tablepress, just the shortcodes appear.

Here is the error message that appears while activated, this disappears when deactivated:

This plugin failed to load properly and is paused during recovery mode.

An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 180 of the file /var/www/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/classes/class-tablepress.php. Error message: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/var/www/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/classes/class-wp_option.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/remi/php72/root/usr/share/pear:/opt/remi/php72/root/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php’)

Any thoughts? Im not so great at getting into root access so please explain in detail if possible… thank you all!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This indicates that some of TablePress’ PHP files are missing, for some reason. My suggestion here is to delete TablePress (the wp-content/plugins/tablepress/ folder on the server) and re-install it again from a fresh download.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Perfect – Ill delete the plugin and re-install. I just want to make sure when I delete I wont lose all the tables I currently have. Please confirm.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

no worries, as your tables are stored in the database, deleting the plugin files poses no risk here.

    Regards,
    Tobias
