    Hello,

    I am not able to activate the plugin. I am getting the following error:
    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/vigrolp5/public_html/alpha/wp-content/plugins/wp-user-manager/includes/functions.php on line 554

    Hi @teertha

    This indicates that you’re running an outdated version of PHP on your host. The minimum required version of php for WPUM is 5.5, you’d need to request to your host to update to at least 5.5.

    Hey @wpusermanager, I was having that same issue so I updated my PHP to 5.6 and it caused my site to pull a HTTP error. In debug mode, it showed the weird shortcodes error mentioned in other support threads. Not sure what to do here — really need to get this plugin back up and running ASAP. Please advise.
