When I install the plugin, I always get the following error message : Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /www/xxxx/wp-content/plugins/name-directory/helpers.php on line 116

    Hi @caudebrand,

I think you have a pretty old PHP version, because this is a syntax error from before PHP 5.4, so PHP 5.3 or lower.
At the moment, PHP 7.1 is the most recent stable version, PHP 5.6 is the latest one in the 5.x versions, which will have no support at the end of the month.

While the fix is simple (and will be available in less than an hour) I will urge you to upgrade to a host with a newer PHP version. I think you will encounter more and more of these problems in the future if you don’t upgrade.

I wil leave a message when the fix is here.

    Kind regards,

    Hi @caudebrand,

version 1.9.7 is now available. This should work on your installation too.

Will you please test this for me and let me know if everything is OK now?

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

With the new version I was able to install the plugin without problem.
Actually my PHP version (5.3.28) is a little awake!
    Thank you very much
