Fatal error

  • Thank you so much for creating this! Wordfence just notified me that WP-footnotes had been removed and I was dreading trying to fix all my old footnotes with a new plugin, and I was delighted to find this one so I wouldn’t have to! But I’m getting a fatal error when I try to activate:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class swas_wp_footnotes in /home1/piercedh/public_html/wp-content/plugins/footnotes-made-easy/footnotes-made-easy.php on line 27

    Any idea what I need to do? Thank you!!!

    Hi,

    It sounds as if you’re still running WP-Footnotes at the same time – as this is a fork of that plugin, it uses the same function names, classes, etc. Please disable this and then see if the error goes ??

    I thought that might be it–just wanted to be sure before deactivating a dead plugin, lest I mess myself up. Deactivated, activated yours, we’re all good. Seriously, thank you so much.
