ON the install, I am getting this error message during ‘activate’:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘, expecting ‘)’ in /home/privated/public_html/hoa-poa.com/hlerg/wp-content/plugins/civist/class-civist-settings-manager.php on line 93

Thanks for reporting this @lanesharon, we are currently investigating the situation.

Our initial guess: the use of array literals in the Civist plugin code.

Which PHP version are you using on your system?

I hope you had a good time with the grandkids ?? We will now try to reproduce and fix the problem. I’ll reach out as soon as the new plugin version becomes available for download.

@lanesharon we were not able to reproduce the parse error with PHP 5.6 but with 5.3.29. The parse error complains about an array literal (introduced with PHP 5.4).

    I’ll keep you posted.

@lanesharon just wanted to let you know that the Civist plugin v4.5.9 is now available for download and automatic update from www.remarpro.com.

Since we were not able to reproduce the problem with PHP 5.6, your feedback will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
