    Hi,

Sorry to hear that! Do you have a screenshot of the error? Then we can investigate asap.

If you can provide us more info about your WP environment that would be helpful also.
    Thanks in advance!

    Regards,
    Lucy

Unfortunately, it took the site down and I had to roll it back. It’s the latest WP install running the paid Swift theme. The server is dedicated Linux. Sorry I can’t be more helpful but I don’t want to try it again to get screenshots of the crash and burn.

I talked it over with a friend and I’m going to try to help you. I’m having the drive cloned and then I will give it another shot on a backup VM. If it blows up I will let you know what the error says.

    Thread Starter YourCaptchaSystemSucks

    (@yourcaptchasystemsucks)

That was fast, he was already running the clone and setting up the VM. It’s a bummer he’s on my payroll at $125/hr. At least he’s done some updates and cleaning on the Linux server.

This was the error for the WP crash:

Warning: require(class-webinarsysteem-ajax.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/doctorwho/public_html/(website name redacted)/wp-content/plugins/wp-webinarsystem/includes/core-import.php on line 19

He suggests there’s a typo in require(class-webinarsysteem…) which should be class-webinarsystem, one “e”

    Thread Starter YourCaptchaSystemSucks

    (@yourcaptchasystemsucks)

I poked around, and the spelling is goofy but consistent. The file:

    class-webinarsysteem-ajax.php

    is missing from the installation.

    Thread Starter YourCaptchaSystemSucks

    (@yourcaptchasystemsucks)

Verified the file is missing from the .zip download as well. Looks like a failed deployment, you may want to update it quickly. Probably won’t impact someone who is upgrading, since the old file will still be there, but new installs cause some ugly issues.

This is probably the most expensive “free” plugin I’ve ever installed. ??

    Lucy Eind

    (@lucyproductionz)

Indeed, something went wrong when a team member had released the version. Some files were missing. I have fixed this, so it should work fine now. Please try again if you want.

Please email us via support[at]wpwebinarsystem.com and I will make sure our support department will put a smile on your face to make up for any inconvenience this have costs for you. Just mention this support thread.

Tip: in the future, when a plugin breaks your site, you don’t have to roll back to some earlier backup file. Simply deactivate the plugin with FTP, and your site will be up and running again. Will save you the $125/hr ??

Thank you for your prompt response in this matter. If you have tried the plugin and you think its useful, then please consider to adjust your review rating. Would mean a lot to us!

    Regards,
    Lucy

O and btw, the goofy spelling is Dutch ??

For the story about that see: https://www.wpwebinarsystem.com/rebranding-webinarplugin-for-wordpress/

    Have a nice day!

    Thread Starter YourCaptchaSystemSucks

    (@yourcaptchasystemsucks)

I’ll send an email as you suggest. Normally I’d just de-activate the plugin, but since I wasn’t sure if it wrote to the database, I figured it would be best to have him roll it back since he had just completed a full system backup.

Dutch is cool, Vrolijk Kerstfeest ?? It’s the only thing I know in Dutch besides words that would get me slapped, thanks to an old girlfriend whose last name was Wyngaard.

Same here: Duch cool, site down!
I installed the plugin on two sites, I updated on one (corneliunicoara.com) and had it down, but now the other site clicktoquitsmoking.com is down too, even I didn’t update the plugin (this second site is an addon site to the first, clicktoquitsmoking.corneliunicoara.com).

    I get these:
Warning: require(class-webinarsysteem-ajax.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/corneliu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-webinarsystem/includes/core-import.php on line 19

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘class-webinarsysteem-ajax.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php54/lib/php’) in /home2/corneliu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-webinarsystem/includes/core-import.php on line 19

I don’t have the $125/hr, nor the guy to grab it. What should I do now?

    Thread Starter YourCaptchaSystemSucks

    (@yourcaptchasystemsucks)

Looks like Lucy fixed it. I deleted the plugin, then went to plugin/add new, typed in webinarsystem, and re-installed the 1.2 version. All of the files are there now. Whoever released it neglected to make sure all of the files were in the distribution. Now they are, although the version should really have been bumped up at least to 1.2.1, but I’m not complaining, since it works now. Should be easy for you to reinstall the plugin.

With that said, I’m pretty happy with the response of the team behind the plugin, particularly Lucy. I need to go update my review.

    Lucy Eind

    (@lucyproductionz)

    Haha @yourcaptchasystemsucks

    @corneliunicoara
In a couple of minutes there will be an update (1.2.1). Install the update and everything should work fine.

If your site is still down at the moment, delete the “wp-webinarsystem” folder via FTP, and re-install the plugin. That should work also. Don’t worry, you wont lose any webinar settings.

Let me know if that helped, if not I can further assist you!

    Regards,
    Lucy

Marking as resolved, plus noting I updated my review. Thank you, Lucy.

Crazy-fast support, although it is very early in the NL, I think you guys didn’t sleep much. Thank you! …Oh, and goedemorgen!

Everything’s working now. I’ll try using WP WebinarSystem for the first time these days, maybe today, and come back with some stars to rate it.

I understand the rebranding issue, but, to me, something like “WebinAArSystEEm” would have sound so unique that everybody would have soon know about it. Good luck anyway!

    Lucy Eind

    (@lucyproductionz)

    Haha thanks, bun? diminea?a @corneliunicoara!
If you like the plugin and would like to contribute a Romanian or Japanese language to it, that would be really awesome! But of course, no pressure.

Also thanks for your review @yourcaptchasystemsucks!
