This morning when I opened my internet (which automatically opens to my website, this is what I found: Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/sskerns1st/sandrakerns.com/wp-content/plugins/like-button-plugin-for-wordpress/include/fb_meta.php on line 169

I can’t even get to my dashboard to fix anything. If I can’t get there, how am I supposed to fix a problem?

  • Try deactivating that plugin (like button for wordpress) via FTP. You can simply rename the plugin folder to deactivate it.

How do I do that? I can’t log into my WordPress dashboard and I don’t understand code.

    Try this:

    1. Using FTP or whatever file management tools your host has provided you with navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory.
    2. Once there locate and delete the like-button-plugin-for-wordpress directory. Just that one directory and nothing else.
    3. Try and re-login to your WordPress dashboard.

Edit: FTP or file management is something outside and not dependent on the WordPress dashboard working.
