Fatal Error

    My site (www.28to20golfhandicap.co.uk) has gone down and is showing this message:

    Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /data01/c2896807/public_html/wp-content/plugins/instapress/instagram.php on line 306

    I can’t access my wordpress login page and not sure what to do? I noticed it yesterday but haven’t changed anything for a while on the site and when I do I never dable with code. I wouldn’t know where to start.

    Can you help please?

    Your error is referencing a plugin you have installed it would seem.

    If you FTP into your site and remove the plugin, does the error message go away?

    EDIT: The plugin in question would be Instapress, I believe.

    You will need to use either your hosts cPanel, or an FTP program to gain access to your file directories.

    Once there, navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory. From there, you should see another directory named instapress.

    You need to rename or delete that directory. Rename it if you want to try and fix the error. Delete it if you want to move on.

    Once you’ve done this.. you will be able to re-access your website.
