FAQ search prefill link

Hi rbrs,

Our plugin doesn’t currently have that functionality, but we’ve noted this as a feature request and will discuss the viability of implementing it in a future update.

I need search in FAQs to be super fast, can you please guide me how to get that ?

Do you have the latest version of the plugin?

If so, can you try applying this: ?faq_search_term=XYZ to the end of your search page URL? (XYZ can be replaced with a more relevant term)

One more question in this regard…

Is there a way to toggle/unfold when using the prefilled URL search?

So that when searching for XYZ using URL prefill it will unfold all the search answers.

Like https://www.site.com?faq_search_term=XYZ&unfold

There’s currently no way to do that with UFAQ, but we’ll add this to our feature list suggestions for future review.

Is there then a way to search for all FAQs withing a category or with a tag?

E.g.
https://www.site.com?faq_category=XYZ
https://www.site.com?faq_tag=XYZ
https://www.site.com?faq_category=XYZ&faq_tag=XYZ

There is no way to autoload a search for within a category with a link. You can, however, use this shortcode to load a specific category to search within:

[ultimate-faq-search include_category="category-slug-name"]
