    1. I created questions and answers using the Divi Toggle module.
    2. In the Yoast Plugin, I selected Schema > FAQ page
    3. I tested the page here: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/
    4. I get this error: mainEntity: A value for the mainEntity field is required.

Wondering how do I fix this error?
I realize there are other plugins I could purchase for FAQ markup, but many of Divi users would like to use the Toggle or Accordian Divi module.

I also reached out to Elegant Themes and asked this same question. I am hoping either the the Yoast and ET/Divi will be able to provide me an answer.

If ET does, I will reply here to help others with the same question.

    Thank you!

@doylegirl We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

Can you please provide us with an example URL of one of the pages where you receive the ‘mainEntity: A value for the mainEntity field is required.’ so that we can check into this further?

    Yup – https://websitehs.com/faqs-3/

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @doylegirl,

That is expected behavior. You will get this missing field “mainEntity” message if you set the page as an FAQ page and you don’t use the Yoast SEO FAQ block. So you need to use the Yoast FAQ block on that particular page.

This guide explains more on how you can use the Yoast SEO FAQ block: https://yoast.com/how-to-build-an-faq-page/#how.

Note, as your are using Divi you may need to reach out to them to see if they have the ability to output our FAQ blocks. They have a solution that can output our FAQ blocks or a workaround.

    Thanks for letting me know.

I reached out to Divi and they told me to reach out to Yoast.
    ??

At least you answered my question. Most likely I will have to find different options if I want to use a toggle for each question with schema markup. That is a bummer.

One thing to note, Yoast SEO Faq block doesn’t output each question in a toggle. It appears as regular text with a heading and paragraph. You can find more information about the Faq block here: https://youtu.be/y8WwW44L1Qk
