    Hello,

Can we set a page like this:
Schema -> Page type -> FAQ page
but without using the “Yoast FAQ” block in the page.

Actually, I only have 2 questions in this page. It is called: The site explained in brief. On the other hand, I created a help page which is several pages, this one is very detailed and has no questions.

Why don’t I want to put the Yoast FAQ block? Because my titles and subtitles in it are not highlighted, we cannot put H1 and H2 titles!

Thank you for your reply !

    Hello @ysatis,

    Thanks for reaching out.

If you set the page to an FAQ page without using the Yoast FAQ block, you may get the missing field “mainEntity” error in the Google Search Console. This happens if you set the page as an FAQ page in the schema tab of the Yoast SEO metabox but do not use the Yoast SEO FAQ block.

This guide explains more on how you can use the Yoast SEO FAQ block: https://yoast.com/how-to-build-an-faq-page/#how.

    Ultimately, the choice is yours.

Ah merci ! donc je vais rester comme avant, en page web normale !

I ran into this problem and it took quite a while to work out what the issue was. It would be good to have a warning on the schema drop down that it only works if using blocks. As it is, it misleads you to think all you need to do is set it to FAQ.
