    Hello everyone, I just installed wordpress using fantastico de luxe and I seem to have a problem. Whenever I try to visit “pagename.com/wp-admin” it takes me to the correct screen – and when I login it is the normall wordpress, not the installed wordpress.

    Can someone please let me know what I am doing wrong?

    Haha, that is a very good question.

    The normal ‘regular’ wordpress doesn’t allow plugins – which is what I require.

    The login address – https://www.specialtreats.com.au/wp-admin brings me to a login screen, as I login it is the regular wordpress, not the installed wordpress.

    I’ve read on other posts that it could perhaps be a nameserver issue? Initially I had updated my nameservers to wordpress’s nameservers when I just wanted a blog, do I need to go back and change this to my host’s nameservers?

    Ahh you’re using different terms. We refer to the one which doesn’t allow plugins as WordPress.COM. They’re a different entity, and yes it has led to a lot of confusion. You can read more about it at https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    The nameservers you refer to belong to WordPress.com, which has nothing to do with www.remarpro.com. Yes you need to change it to your host’s nameservers.

    Thank you, this has now been solved.

    I needed to change my name servers back to the host’s nameservers.
