• I really appreciate what you guys are building, that too for free. Even when I haven’t used Piklist for a few reasons (explained below), I do appreciate what you and your team are up to. Keep up the good work.

I have been using Piklist for almost more than a year now. But never really tried it in a real production project. TBH It is not embeddable, that part is scary, what if you guys update something and it breaks my commercial products? What then? I like to control the updates by embedding such frameworks and updating them myself. Can you do something about that?

Ahmad– We totally understand the hesitation. The only thing I can say is that backwards compatibility is very important for us. There are thousands of websites running Piklist and we want to make sure no one has any issues.

When we even “think” there might be the slightest issue we release to on www.remarpro.com trunk so you and other developers can test it before we release it to the general public.

    I hope that helps!

Releasing to trunk makes sense, do you people have special workflow for that, how do developers get informed, what happens if one of them is on a break for a week or two.

Hi Ahmad– Our workflow for this is currently posting to our blog. Any ideas to make this work better for you would be appreciated.

Right now, I can’t think of anything but a newsletter.

But do think about allowing the embeddable format for this framework.

We’ve thought about it multiple times over the years. ??
