Fantastic Plugin to stop Bot Registration

  • TL;DR; After installing and setting up, make sure you don’t miss the “Wizard” link in the WangGuard toolbar!! I was expecting Bulk Actions for “Recheck Users” and didn’t find it, so I spent 10 minutes clicking “Recheck” on ~200 users’ rows. The “Wizard” link cleans everything up all in one go! Dont miss it!

    I have a small site and have been getting 3-5 user registrations a day for the past few months. “Hey people want to register! Wait… maybe they’re bots?” WangGuard is super simple to set up, letting you set your own “common sense” human questions to protect future user registrations, as well as having a Wizard that runs through all of your registered users and checks to see if they are known bots or not. Just a fantastic plugin all around.

    If the site you run allows users to register, this is a must-have plugin!
