Fantastic plugin, great WP-FC integration

I recently updated my first website that had been running old php, wordpress and a 1st gen style responsive theme for several years, it had W3TC and EWWW installed and I guess they did the job quite well for the time, after updating WordPress and the theme I thought I’d try improving the performance as it was affecting the ux and our search results.

I tried a few different plugins but after a few days of testing different combos I found that asset clean up in conjunction with WP fastest cache and smush gave the best results by far.

I will say that I tried ACU to begin with but at the time I didn’t fully understand the power of this plug-in and deactivated it while I tinkered with others, but taking a second look and after spending a fair amount of time learning about it’s features and properly applying it to each of my pages and then using WP Fastest Cache for minification and deferring etc I have come to the conclusion that this is a must have tool and the developers deserve credit for a job well done.
