Hi, I encountered a false positive in the WordFence scan, because wp_load.php was manually modified to accommodate the strings for malware scanning through the VirusDie tool.

    Thanks.

    Hi @cimbomix,

If you made changes to a file and are fully satisfied the file’s safe, Wordfence will still flag changes to the repository versions of plugins and WordPress itself.

The easiest option is to select “Ignore” for this specific result in the Wordfence > Scan page when a scan has completed, or alternatively add the file and path manually to Wordfence > All Options > Advanced Scan Options > Exclude files from scan that match these wildcard patterns (one per line)

You can read more here: https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/options/#exclude-files

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
