    Hi,

we have the following issue since 2-3 weeks:
The customer puts a product bundle in his cart.
    Example: https://www.weinatolien.de/produkt/sauvignon-blanc-weine-6er-sparpaket/

He goes to the checkout page, fills out the address fields, chooses a payment option, clicks the button ‘Order now’. He gets the following error: ‘There are not enough Sauvignon Blanc Wines – 6 pack in stock for the execution of this order.’
But there are enough of each product in the product bundle. (min. more than 10 bottles of each product are in stock)

    We found out:
All products has the attribute Product data/Inventory/Allow backorders? = ‘Do not allow’. If we put for all products within the bundle ‘Allow backorders? = ‘Allow’, then the customer can order the product bundle.
Another way is: If we duplicate the existing product bundle or create a new product bundle, the ‘out of stock’ warning is not displayed. The customer can order the product bundle.
But this shouldn’t be how it works…

So, do you have a solution for that?

    Kind regards,
    Weinatolien team

    Hi @weinatolien ,

We have received many users reported this kind of issue before, however, when we checked this on our test site or live demo, we never find such problem. Upon checking many other users’s sites, we sum up some of the possible reasons for this as below, please check it on your site:
    – One of your bundled items went out of stock and was recently restocked.
    – A third-party caching/cookies plugin on your site has kept caches/cookies of old items previously added to the cart so it creates a false stock warning. Some found that this issue disappeared all of a sudden after clearing caches or check back after some time.
    – A third-party plugin is used for managing inventory on site for example ATUM inventory.

Please check these things on your site to find the source of the issue. If it works on new bundles you created after that then there’s no reason for it to not work on previous bundles. Your old bundles have its stock adjusted and maybe the data wasn’t updated alongside. That’s how conflicts occur.

    Best regards.

Many thanks for your detailed answer.
We use these third-party plugins: ATUM inventory and for caching Comet Cache. We’ll try first to adjust the caching interval and see what happens.

    Best regards,
    Weinatolien team
