False Error "This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site"

Just to clarify, the “This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site” warning is just a backend warning and does not prevent Contact Form 7 from sending the email from: other domains, right? So, it is an inconvenience and an irritant, but not a showstopper?

Clients cannot handle seeing the error message all the time. I have switched contact forms permanently now for my clients.
