    Hello @hagbard23

    I trust you’re doing well!

I could replicate the 404 error after visiting your Facebook page link. After visiting it from my end, it returns a 404 error as well. Please visit it as a logged-out user. Please check the URL link from your end and add a correct one.

Regarding the 403 forbidden error, this means that your site’s IP might be blocked on the https://datenschutz-….de/ site or there is a security plugin that blocking the Brocken Link to validate it. Please see if a security plugin that installed on the //datenschutz-….de/ might be blocking it. If not, please see the server logs and whitelist your site IP on the server’s end.

    Please advise,

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

I have the same problem. The issue seems to be https. If you change the link to http (our pages are forced to https so either works) then it does not record as broken. I have had to turn off the style sheet display formatting because ALL our links as showing as broken when they’re not.

3 external links on my site (e.g. https://www.socialmediaduo.nl/visuele-content/ linking to https://pixabay.com) were marked as “403 forbidden”. But when I click on them everything works fine.
I have tried changing the URL’s in those 3 links from https to http (also valid URL’s) but status stayed the same.
I have plenty (all?) internal links having ‘403 Forbidden’ as Warning.
I don’t want to disable my security plugin.
For now I disabled Broken Link Checker. I hope this will be fixed soon in the next update. But I also welcome other advice.
