    Hello there,

Today I have noticed that when I open my website an automatic html file called “fallback.html” is downloaded.

The file comes from the following website:

    d341y4dudrfjax.cloudfront.net

When I open it, there is an image from instagram that include different hashtags.

Do you know what it could be and how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance
    Bliss07

That’s not part of WordPress by default, try deactivating your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible.

My clients just had the same thing on their site. We think it may be malware related to an advert that was being served on their site by a third party.

Can I ask, do you have adverts on your website too?

    Hello Ceekay,

I was able to fix that issue by following the suggestion of Andrew.

I have deactivated few plugins, especially the ones that I have installed recently and the automatic html download has disappeared.

I believe that the issue is not caused by any advertisement but from some plugin.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello,

I don’t own any website and don’t use WordPress, but I have the same problem. Regularly, while I didn’t do anything in particular, my PC attempts to download the exact same file as described by Bliss07. I don’t think I have any unusual plugin on Firefox either. What should I do?

    Hi,
Oneyr and i Seem to be having the same problem.
A HTML file call “fallback.html”, keeps downloading from a site called:” d341y4dudrfjax.cloudfront.net
This opens without my involvement and was wondering if anyone knows how to fix the problem.

@bliss07, Let us know of the plugin that you think was responsible.

The first plugin that I have deactivated was “Contact Form 7”. However, afterwards I have deleted all the unused plugins, which they were all related to social networks and the issue did not occur anymore.
