    Hi
I have been using Wordfence for a while now and really like it, however, I just updated it and now get the option to run Falcon Engine.
This looks great too, – BUT – when I select falcon engine (50 times faster) I get the following message.

    An error occurred

You need to enable Permalinks for your site to use Falcon Engine. You can enable Permalinks in WordPress by going to the Settings – Permalinks menu and enabling it there. Permalinks change your site URL structure from something that looks like /p=123 to pretty URLs like /my-new-post-today/ that are generally more search engine friendly.

This might make sense to many, but unfortunately not to me.
Can you give a couple of examples of how to change my permalinks – and importantly – let me know what effect doing this might potentially have on my site.

    Cheers
    Noel

    Hi Noel,

Yes unfortunately you need to run permalinks to get support for falcon. I would google around because there are plenty of guides on what they are and the advantages in terms of search engine ranking that they provide.

    Regards,

    Mark.
