Falcon Engine causes white homepage with no content

  • Hi,

    First off I have to say that the introduction of Falcon Engine and what it can do seems incredibly impressive and I really want to utilise it, however I cannot due to the following issue I am about to explain.

    As soon as I enable and test from multiple devices after clearing all caches and history for the browsers I seem to experience issues with blank white pages appearing for the site i.e. the homepage is blank. It loads like lightening but it has no content on it.

    I am running version 5.0.7 of the plugin and also the Enfold theme – version 2.7.1

  • I am having a similar issue, when the Falcon Engine is enabled the site I am working on is extremely fast, however after about 8 hours I get the white screen. If I flush the cache, I no longer get the white screen, however I see no setting to set for a timed cache flush, which indicates that this problem should not be occurring at all.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Genesis Version 2.0.2
    Dynamik Version: 1.5

    We’re also seeing this/a similar issue on a client’s site, either a white screen or a load of random data/characters – only on the index/homepage, clearing the homepage from the cache resolves the issue for a short while.

    Please view/source on the page and let me know if you see anything.

    It could be that your site is malfunctioning and Falcon is caching the incomplete page. Check your web server error logs to see if you’re getting out of memory errors.

    I’m going to file a bug for us to inspect the HTML of each page and don’t cache if it’s blank or there’s another issue.

    I only started having this problem after I activated the Falcon Engine, this site has been under development for weeks and never had that problem, but when we were done creating it. We decided to turn on the caching before it went live to speed test it, and it worked great for a day, loading in .333 seconds. Then I came back the next day and the home page was white.

    It could be a conflict with another plug-in, that’s why I listed them all. I’ve had a similar issue when using WP Super Cache with BPS Security. And I solved it by deactivating some plug-ins that were using a lot of memory.

    However this site does not have any memory hogs on it that I know of. However I have gotten rid of all excess plug-ins.

    But I won’t know if the problem is solved until tomorrow.
