• Does anyone know a way to recover templates and such from the Faked Folders plugin if I already installed the 1.5alpha? I have all the original files, I just don’t know how to get to them to get the code. Very important…

  • If you can get access to your mySQL database (I do it through phpMyAdmin), you’ll see a table called wp_static_templates Browse inside of that and lo, there is a field called static_template_value. That’s where your template is. (and thanks for asking, I just upgraded and needed to find that myself!)

(I’m in early stages of building out a site: began in 1.2 using faked folders. I’ll see how it is with the pages stuff. I guess that the template within the database (I haven’t been able to access management of Faked Folders now that I’ve upgraded to 1.5) will become a Page template.

Thank you for responding. I finally ended up just installing a 1.3 version of WP on my old site and getting it from there. Maybe that will work as well.

    Thank you

P.S. Am looking over things from my template right now. My theory (as yet untested) is that you’ll need to follow the upgrade directions (Prepare your files: Adjust your files #1), esp the stylesheet import line.
