• I have WP installed using Wamp64 while I build my site and then transfer my domain from Shopify to a WP Host. Anyway I can’t see to get WooCommerce installed. It keeps telling me install failed. I then tried downloading it and uploading it and it says the link expired. Not sure what to do at this point.

  • Are you trying to install it on your local server or on your hosting online?

By the way, use something more modern and easy for localhost – I suggest LocalWP.

Installing WooCommerce on your local Wamp64 server for your Shopify to WP migration can be tricky, but fear not! Let’s tackle those installation failures together. First, ensure compatibility: update your local WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP versions. Then, check Wamp64’s permissions – WooCommerce needs write access to specific folders. Clear WordPress cache and deactivate plugins to eliminate conflicts. Try downloading and uploading the WooCommerce zip file manually. If memory is tight, increase the PHP memory limit in Wamp64. Finally, disable any security plugins and check the error logs for clues. Remember, replicate your local environment on your WP host for a smooth transition.
