Failure to identify latest WP version for updates

    I am posting this here in case it helps anyone else.

    I noticed that one of my sites was still stuck at 4.4.1 and couldn’t “see” any outstanding updates although others on a different server were all fully up-to-date.

    The culprit is the plugin cPanel & WHM? Site Software. Deactivate that and I am suddenly prompted to update to 4.5.2.
