Failure during import from wordpress.com

  • I’m moving my wife’s blog from wordpress.com to my own server. I exported from wordpress.com, installed the Koi theme in my installed wordpress, and imported. I get a lot of “Menu item skipped due to missing menu slug” errors, and the blog doesn’t look right. All the pages are listed down the right side instead being under the custom menu bar, which is blank. I’m very new to WordPress, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Anyone? After more research, all I could find is that someone had possibly the same problem, but was using a template without custom menus. As far as I can tell, Koi can use custom menus. Or am I wrong?
