Fails to authenticate

  • Will not authenticate with google. I keep pressing the button in the settings to do so. My web site does something, but then the screen returns to exactly the way is was before I pressed the button – in other words authentication fails.

    I put the Google Code into footer.php of the child theme, and it seems to work without the “help” of the now deactivated plugin

    Hi @steve13565 other plugins might have caused a conflict with GA, have you tried the latest version 2.0.4?

    As I said in a private message, I didn’t realize that the authentication required a pop-up window. I have pop-ups disabled in my browser. I didn’t notice any warning about a failed pop-up if my browser gave me a warning. Since I connected my WordPress site to Google Analytics the “hard” way, I haven’t bothered to go back to look at the plugin.
