    I’m deactivate this plugin and installed BackWPup. It works perfectly.

    The silent failure killed it for me too – I successfully backed up 4 of the 5 options:

    Config file and htaccess
    Themes folder
    Plugins folder
    Uploaded content

    but couldn’t label them as such, so there was no value as you couldn’t tell what you had.

    The seemingly most crucial Database Dump was the no show – and there really aren’t any tools to determine what’s wrong. I’ll try your recommendation, but I’m thinking about ponying up for BackupBuddy.

    Same here. But other people say it works.

    I had this same problem. Checked the php error logs and was getting an out of memory error.

    PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 6743096 bytes) in automatic-wordpress-backup.php on line 719

    Increased the memory limit and it worked.
