Fails Chrome Performance Audit

Hi,

I installed this plugin after scoring badly on the Chrome Lighthouse Performance Audit (Accessible via F12 in Chrome on the Audit tab).
The Audit recommended Lazy Loading images so I installed this plugin.
There is a small noticeable increase in performance to the naked eye, however after re running the performance audit, the score was the same with the recommendation to use lazy loading remaining.

Can you suggest why that would be? I’m confidant I installed the app correctly, I set a threshold of 5 as suggested by a blog post i read, however I haven’t tested or used the low res preview image.

Any help you could give on this topic would be great as we are trying to increase our performance and its impression on SEO.
