Failing to update posts and pages when adding custom HTML block

  • Hi there,

    When I add a custom HTML block, with the Google Ads tag on top of my posts or pages, and I try to update the post or page I get this error message “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”

    The conflict is clearly with the Google Ads tag custom html, since if I remove it, the update process works fine.

    Do you have any idea how to solve this problem and keep the Google tag on my posts and pages?

    If this Google Ads tag from a plugin? If yes, what plugin?

    Hi there, thanks for your reply.

    No, I add the custom HTML by using the built in option in the WordPress editor.
