Failing to Save Story

Could you please share your Site Health information so we can take a closer look? Please include an example Story URL you are not able to update. You can share privately if you prefer.

Additionally, could you please open your browser developer tools and check for any browser console errors?

Alternate Solution for this error

Whenever an error message "Failed to Save Story" occurs in web stories, I create a duplicate copy of that web stories and further work on the duplicate copy of web stories and after completing the web stories, I Publish a duplicate copy of the web stories instead of the original web stories.

Further, I delete the original web stories in which the error message "Failed to Save Story" was coming from the web stories dashboard

How can make Duplicate copies of web stories

1. First you go to Web Stories Dashboard

2. Select the web stories you want to duplicate

3. Hover the mouse cursor over the web stories of the web stories you want to duplicate

4. You see a three-pointed dot on the bottom right of Web Stories

5. Click on these three dots then you can see the option of Duplicate

6. Click on the Duplicate option and a duplicate copy of the web stories will be generated

In Duplicate copies of Web stories you can do all work such as title change, web page content change, and so on
