Failing to Save Changes to Rate Limiting Settings

    In Wordfence 6.1.7, I changed 3 setting under the Rate Limiting parameter section — and find that my updates are not being saved. The progress indicator that appears near the Save Changes button just spins and spins endlessly. I have waited up to 20 minutes and the save action never completes.

    I am seeing this same issue on 3 different websites with different WP themes, which are on 3 different hosting providers.

    Would greatly appreciate help from the Wordfence experts to resolve this issue.

  • Hi,

    Are you having any issues saving other settings? We’ve seen issues with saving caused by other plugins that have not been updated to work with the new version of WordPress. I’d suggest disabling all plugins except Wordfence and see if you are able to save. Then reintroduce one plugin at a time to narrow it down.

    Thank you Brian — very good suggestion. Turns out the IP Geo Block plugin was causing the conflict. Once I deactivated it, I was again able to save my changes to the Wordfence option settings.
