Failing to Post – Creating Thousands of Duplicates & tmptitle

This sounds like an email server issue where everything got marked as unread.

Is Postie configured to delete emails after posting? Sounds like it is not.

Are you using POP or IMAP?

I’ve had the same problem. It’s not that the email isn’t getting deleted after posting… it’s that it creates a TMP post and duplicates any image in the email each time as well. I caught mine once after about 250+ posts and images were created.

I then deleted them all, created a test post which worked fine. Then told my client to go ahead and use it again, then the same thing happened again.

I haven’t had the time to try and fix it or post the problem.

@csatech if you can reproduce the issue I would appreciate it if you could install the Support AddOn and run a test then send me the log file from the media library.

I installed the plugin and ran a test and of course everything works as it should! LOL It’s a local Township’s website and since it’s officially “closed” not much has been happening in POST’s other than cancelled events.

I’ll keep the plugin installed and run some additional tests as time allows and followup as directed.

I see that you are using POP. You might try switching to IMAP.

I can see the emails being processed and deleted.

Not sure why your mail server is not actually deleting them.

I’ve switched to IMAP-SSL, and I can process emails correctly manually, but Postie no longer automatically checks for mail.
