Installed the MailOptin plugin (Version 1.2.32.0)
    WordPress 5.5.3

Set up a lightbox and a on-page campaign.
Linked them to an Aweber mailing list.

Things went well for a week or two.

Then we started receiving the following error message from the component:

The optin campaign “Lightbox 1” is failing to convert leads due to the following error “0: Signed API request has returned an error. HTTP error 403. Raw Provider API response: {“error”: {“status”: 403, “message”: “Your request cannot be processed”, “type”: “ForbiddenError”, “documentation_url”: “https://labs.aweber.com/docs/troubleshooting#forbidden”}}.”.

We get a few of them every week — but I am unable to figure out WHY or what to DO about it.

The other site we use the plugin on has no errors, despite linking to the same Aweber account (different mailing list)

Is this just a network glitch or is there actually a problem to fix somewhere?

    thanks!

Can you please contact AWeber with the error message? They will have a better explanation as to why the issue occurred.

    Let me know their response.

    Hi,
Thank you for your response. Since we had been using AWeber forms without issue for years, I had not considered that there might be a problem on the AWeber side – but it seems that may have been the problem.

I did a little reconfiguration on the AWeber server/settings including confirming that the DKIM and SPF settings had propagated. After this, I have not seen the error again. I’ll recheck with AWeber if it happens again and post any additional updates.
