Failing plugin, crappy support from plugin author!

Followed all all required setting for the hosting environment. And the plugin would not start the download. The hosting server did not “throw” any error codes. And I even provided the plugin author access to the hosting phpinfo output.
His response was to advise me to hire a programmer to fix his code. I kid you not! Here is a quote “
You should consider hiring someone so that you can give them direct access to the site for a far more efficient fix than we can provide here. Please try …
” and he gives some help board links. The he procedds to mark the support thread as “Resolved”

I recommend to avoid this plugin and author if at all possible.
