Failed update – Error on Tribe/Main.php Line 33

Tried to do the latest update which failed.
Server Error logs show
PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php’
failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/the-events-calendar.php on line 33 ( which refers back to that Tribe/Main.php file) The file is still there but not being found.
The latest update failed and took the whole site down. This is a hook or path reference that has been mixed up.
The site is running PHP version: 7.1.18
MySQL version: 5.6.39 looks like it could be higher but host is GoDaddy and they don’t offer much flexibility.It fixed the site by removing the plugin as it literally took the whole site down. Anyone else seeing this.
