• Hi – I am just cross checking transactions in GA with those in woocommerce, and can see that all of the failed transactions (in woocommerce) are being recorded as transactions in GA, thus skewing the data quite a lot.

why is this data being pushed to GA? is it a setting?

please help as im trying to get the two as accurate as possible

it appears this is due to the paypal settings allowing “non instant” payment methods (e.g, echecks). therefore the order is placed with “payment pending” – awaiting full capture from paypal – when this payment fails, woocommerce is updated, but naturally the order is already stored and recorded against GA.

I have now turned on “require instant payment” (e.g, from a card with funds), so that if that does fail, the order wont be placed.

hopefully helpful if anyone else as a similar issue
