Failed to write file to disk.

  • Hello everybody

    I have a big problem when i want to uplaod a file for a post.
    I have got this error message: Failed to write file to disk.

    My server his great configure and i have check rights on the temporary folder but the problem is going on

    Someone can help me?

  • It’s not the temp directory that you need to look at but the wp-content/uploads one.

    the directory wp-content/uploads have the rights access (777)

    I have exactly the same problem. Creation of the wp-content/uploads folder can’t be proceed throu Miscellaneous Options. Also don’t help when doing it manually via FTP wiht right access code.

    Is this problem of PHP configuration on the server?
    What shall ask to calling to provider?

    I didn’t have an tmp folder. Now everything works out!

    YES! Simply adding the folder ‘tmp’ to the root seems to have fixed the problem for me!
