Perhaps the disk is full? Or you ran out of space on the account?

deffinently not. i have 20gb, and only using 1gb.

What are you using to upload the file? What are the permissions on the directory you are uploading to? What is the path/directory you are uploading to?

its just the upload folder i set for my wordpress directory. its under upload. home.icwnow.com/upload. or something like that. it worked one day and now it doesnt. could it be a conflict with another plug-in?

I hope this thread is still live, though I see there’s been no activity in almost a month.

I’m having the same problem as jasrasr, on my yahoo! webhosting account.

I initially imported a RSS 2.0 (xml) feed file from my computer into the WordPress directory via the import option. No problem. The image files all had broken links, however, so I deactivated the wordpress directory, cleaned up my directory structure, and created it again. Now I get the same message jasrasr was getting:

    IMPORT RSS 2.0
    Failed to write to disk.

I’ve recreated the original blogs, created differently named wordpress directories, and all sorts of other fixes.

Permissions are not incorrect, and the paths are the standard WordPress directories set up by the Yahoo! WordPress setup wizard (which worked the first time).

I thought perhaps that permissions were a problem, and even though I double-checked myself, I called yahoo!’s tech support (always a mistake), and they confirmed no problems there.

    Please help this newbie?

On the off-chance that anyone else is still reading this message:

I don’t have an answer to my (and possibly jasrasr’s) question, but I do have a new development.

After waiting a day, I simply did the same procedure as before (tried to import into Yahoo’s WordPress application, same RSS files, pre-created WordPress software files, etc.), no problem.
Perhaps there’s some sort of prevention from importing more than once a day?

    Erik
